Dominique Thorne's character Riri Williams is an 'Ironheart' — also known as Ironheart — in the MCU. She first appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and will have her own Disney+ show set in the MCU. Riri is a teenage genius who designed and implemented technology that detects vibranium. During her time in Wakanda and Talokan, she caused both countries to take notice of her. However, it would be a mistake to dismiss Riri just because she is a woman playing the part of Iron Man. She’s actually an important addition to the MCU’s roster who shouldn’t be disregarded.
Riri Williams is a legacy superhero based on Tony Stark, Iron Man and Riri, who share many similarities. She uses advanced armored suits just like Tony and Riri do. However, her role as Ironheart is different from Iron Man. Instead of being a female version of Iron Man, she's honoring Iron Man but isn't replacing him. Riri was inspired by Stark and is honoring him but not replacing him. This is everything DC fans need to know about her appearance in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever MCU movie.
