Community Bible Church Question from The Bible Line:
I believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and that Holy men of God wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We are told that all Scripture is inspired by God only when we read what Paul wrote to Timothy. What are the other evidences? Why do we believe the NT is inspired when that obviously wasn't what Paul was referring to? Most wasn't written yet. Is the assembly of the canon at the Council of Nicaea the only credential we have? I know why the 66 books of the canon were selected, but how do we know that Paul's statement that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" includes all, and not only those 66 books?
