Gallatin National Forest, hunter Rudi Noorlander stumbled upon a grizzly at 20 feet. While he has bear spray and a gun, his gun misfired and the bear attacked.
According to his daughter, Rudi then decided to "fight back". Punching the bear in nose. The bear then clamped its jaws around his chin—and ripped his lower jaw off.
Rudi is the latest in a long line of individuals who have attempted to fight off an attacking grizzly bear with disastrous results.
