Melody is back in the biscuit making business! 😻😻 Thank you for the PAWSITIVE vibes! Melody got an antibiotic shot today that should do the trick and get her over this bacterial infection.
Please take your cat to the vet if they display any behavior that's not normal for them.
I am so glad we decided to take Melody to the vet. We assumed she was stressed from us being gone (and there probably was some of that) but had we not run her labs, we may not have known she was in pain, too.
We will be starting antibiotics and follow up in 2 weeks.
Cats hide their pain. We, as their humans, need to be observers, and when even the slightest thing has changed, ask, "what is my cat trying to tell me?"
I know I say it over and over, but I'll say it again for Melody's sake: If your cat is behaving differently, please go to the vet. If your cat is peeing out of the box, please go to the vet. Cats aren't being bad or petty. They're communicating they need help in a way they have learned will get our attention.
