'India Better Than Us': Germany slams Der Spiegel's cartoon mocking world's populous nation
The German ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, reacted strongly to the controversy after Germany's 'Der Spiegel' magazine published a cartoon mocking the growing Indian population. The German envoy called the cartoon 'neither funny nor appropriate.' He also said that he would like to invite the cartoonist to come to India and take a ride in the state-of-the-art Delhi metro.
