China-Laos railway boosts Chinese imports of Thai durian

The China-Laos Railway has extended cold-chain shipments to Thai durian suppliers, reducing transit times and fuelling a growing appetite for the “King of Fruit”. The line linking the city of Kunming, in China’s Yunnan province, to the Laotian capital Vientiane, offers Thai durian exporters 28 refrigerated container cars and a direct line to Chinese consumers.
