As an alternative, farmers have been encouraged to embrace organic farming, which is more beneficial to the environment. In this regard, ventures have come up to make organic fertiliser, targeting farmers in Kenya. One such venture is Safi Organics, who are turning rice husks in Mwea into valuable organic fertiliser targeting both small and large-scale farmers.
