The new Instagram notification✅
Akash Pandey I was really excited when I saw this feature earlier today! It’s exactly the kind of detailed information we’ve been looking for on Instagram. Insights within insights – it’s fantastic!
This additional layer of information is going to be incredibly valuable for creators and business owners. It will help us understand where our new audience is coming from when they follow us, especially since we can now see who has clicked the follow button directly from the Reels tab.
I used to think that it would be rare for someone to follow straight from the Reels tab. I always assumed that the majority would follow after clicking on our profile from a Reel. But when I looked at 24 hours’ worth of data today, I was surprised to find that 43% of my new followers had followed directly after watching a Reel.
Now, here’s why this is fascinating:
This new feature allows us to start mapping out the customer journey from watching a Reel to following. It also lets us analyze the impact of viral Reels, different call-to-actions, and their effects – it’s like having a toolkit for marketers!
We can’t attribute these follows to a specific Reel just yet, but I have so many ideas swirling around about how we could make the most of this data. I’ll definitely be incorporating it into my upcoming strategy discussions!
