Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Fog and rain sticks around

WKYC Channel 3 Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 24, 2024: Dense fog is widespread across northern Ohio this morning as warm, moist air travels over our snow pack. The fog is thickest away from the lake with visibility below a quarter of a mile in many locations. At the same time, we have rain moving in--this should help to lessen the thick fog, but it'll still be a dreary day.
We're in store for a rainy day as well as the second out of three waves of rainfall move through northern Ohio. Temps will be the bright spot as they reach into the upper 40s later today! Rain will continue much of the day.
Expect a break from the rain tonight with more fog building in. Temps will stay steady in the mid 40s. Nice and mild!
Another round of rain moves in Thursday with temps up near 50 expected late in the day. Temps will actually rise into the 50s Thursday night into Friday morning before falling back through the 40s Friday. Rain will eventually exit to the east leaving mainly cloudy skies.
Looking ahead, another system will swirl through the Ohio Valley Saturday and Sunday--the track of this low as of this morning is just south of us so much of the precip misses us--but a slight shift in the track of the low would bring rain through here on Saturday with rain and wet snow Sunday.
