Ms. Darlette is working to bring forth awareness to crimes against unarmed children because of preconceived ideas of them being a threat. 'I Was Here' by Beyonce Knowles with be a part of the B' Day Production - A Tribute To Beyonce Knowles, of whose talent was discovered while attending Kids In Dance Studio at a early age.
The choreography to 'I Was Here' was a vision by Ms. Darlette, the mother of two boys- the eldest being sixteen. This American tragedy has touched her heart and she sends her tears and love to the families of ALL young men who have succumb to tragic ends similar to Trayvon Martin.
This is a video of the early production stages at a dance competiton. The current production is a large full scale staged production that Ms. Darlette hopes to take to Florida to perform in honor of the Martin family.
