This was a story excerpt which I found posted online, and I should have checked the source for it, as I was not aware of it being an original story from another Youtube channel, namely: A Vox in the Void, with the excellent script being written by Stephen Duxbury. It’s only now that I’m getting ready to upload that I’ve seen that it was a project he worked on, rather than it being from a 40k novel (which was what I originally assumed). Please check out his channel for similar content, they are incredibly well produced and voiced stories with a fantastic atmosphere to them all.

This is a dark tale of cybernetic transformation. It follows the young Imperial Scion Maximillian in his horrific “enhancement” into that of a servitor. Prior to this story, he was visiting a Mechanicus forge world, where he rudely referred to the Heart of the Forge of this world as an abomination. In retaliation, the tech priests have captured him, and are ready to turn his physical form into that of a machine, ready to serve the Omnissiah for the rest of his wretched life.
