GreatAudioBooks In Public Domain A collection of animated cartoons created in 1960 by New World Productions and syndicated by United Artists was known as Mel-O-Toons, sometimes incorrectly spelled as "Mello Toons." It included a variety of folktales, Greek and Roman mythology, Biblical stories, some of author Thornton Burgess' original stories, classic legends, and even ballet and classical music adaptations. The soundtracks frequently used children's albums that had already been released and were licensed from the original companies. There were 104 cartoons produced in minimal animation, each lasting around 6 minutes.
