“What’s going on?!” Pastor Mariellen Yoshino says this was probably the reaction of the onlookers at Pentecost (Acts Chapter 2, verses 1-13). It was loud, rambunctious, confusing. Things were not normal or as expected! But the power and passion of Pentecost let the followers of Christ be fruitful and multiply their mission and ministry to the whole world through the Holy Spirit. Pentecost launches the Christian church – and makes us part of the Jesus narrative as the Holy Spirit works in us and through us.

Almaden Hills United Methodist Church (AHUMC) is a multi-generational congregation focused on Worship, Service, Community, and Justice: All are welcome, and all means all. We extend a special welcome to members of the LGBTQ+ community as a Reconciling Congregation. We share in an active Joint Youth Ministry for Junior High and High School students with our two sister churches, Cambrian Park UMC and Willow Glen UMC.
