Ukraine Dam Destruction Kills Thousands of Fish: Official

Bloomberg Quicktake: Now The destruction of Ukraine’s Kakhovka dam affected water supplies in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, leading to mass fish death in Marianske, near the Kryvyi Rih region, the prosecutor general of Ukraine said.
Tens of thousands of fish had died, the Ukrainian Health Ministry said, warning citizens to avoid buying fish from street vendors over concerns of botulism and other food-borne illnesses.
The drop in water levels in the Kryvyi Rih region had also disrupted steel production, trade publications reported.
An investigation into ecocide and violations of customs of war had been launched over the destruction of the dam, Ukraine’s prosecutor general said, warning that the loss of biological resources could lead to “ecological disaster.”
