10 Businesses That Were Founded on Christian Principles

1. In-N-Out Burger.
This popular burger chain is privately owned by the Snyder family. If you look close, you'll find various references to particular Bible verses on their products.

2. Tyson Foods.
Founder of Tyson Foods, John Tyson, employs more than 120 chaplains who provide religious guidance and pastoral care to employees. Their core values state that they strive to honor God and be a faith-friendly company.

3. Chick-fil-A.
Perhaps one of the most notable outwardly religious companies in America, Chick-fil-A requires all locations to close on Sundays to observe the day of rest.

4. Alaska Air.
Until 2012, on Alaska Air, you used to find inspirational notecards referencing a passage from the Old Testament on every breakfast tray.

5. Hobby Lobby.
This popularly Christian company frequently runs full-page religious ads on Easter and Christmas holidays and always closes its stores on Sunday. In fact, their mission statement promises to “Honor the Lord … in a manner consistent with biblical principles.”

6. Cook Out.
If you look closely, Bible verses can be found on milkshake and soft-drink cups at Cook Out locations. Additionally, corporate owners ask franchisees to play Christian music on the restaurant loudspeakers, although it’s not enforced.

7. Forever 21.
You might not have known that this popular apparel brand has Christian roots. The company prints John 3:16 on its shopping bags and often sells a variety of religious-themed apparel.

8. Trijicon.
If you look closely, you may find coded references to bible verses encrypted on your next Trijicon gun and optical sighting equipment.

9. H-E-B Grocery.
With much Christian history, this Texas grocery chain H-E-B stayed closed on Sundays and prohibited the sale of alcohol until 1976. Additionally, former chairman Howard E. Butt Jr. joined Billy Graham in the 1950s to create spiritual programs for business professionals.

10. Interstate Batteries.
With a mission to glorify God while serving customers, Interstate Batteries is not ashamed to share their Christian faith with the world. They also serve the community via its Chaplin’s Group.
