Floating a bridge in that the string 1 goes up 1/2 step, string 2 up a whole step and 3rd string goes up a minor 3rd.
Carl Verheyen has been doing this forever (I believe Jeff Beck as well?) but his claw is at an angle when you look. That’s what came out first just not filmed.
This method of a straight claw at finish took a lot of off-camera “start over”, you just don’t see it here. It came together at the end though.
Next video I’ll do the video again with an angled claw at the end. Might be the better technique after i kept thinking about it. I’ll have to pay the Guitar some like this for a while to compare. Just have to record it. Next time you’ll see all the mistakes you don’t really see in this video as I said you would (way to embarrassing in this video and way too long).
The height of what a floating bridge should look like above the body at the end of the video was the icing on the cake that I finally got right. Coming in at the proper 1/8”.
I have to do this video again at a later date and2 different ways. I’ll be looking forward to it.
