‘Bloodbath’: Left-wing media slammed after taking Donald Trump's comment out of context

Sky News Australia Former US president Donald Trump has been heavily criticised by left-wing media following a comment he made during a campaign speech.
Trump appeared in Dayton, Ohio, where he delivered a speech on Saturday to his supporters ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
During his speech, the former president mentioned it would be a “bloodbath” for the auto industry if he did not win the November election.
“Now, if I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that's gonna be the least of it. It's going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they're not going to sell those cars. They're building massive factories,” he said.
The bloodbath term Trump referred to was “a major economic disaster,” a definition provided by Merriam-Webster.
Following his speech, the former president was slammed by numerous news organisations after they took his comments out of context.
NBC News, New York Times and Politico posted articles on Trump’s “bloodbath” comment without giving the proper context.
Following the release of their articles, the news organisations were slammed online, with millions viewing tweets from Elon Musk and End of Wokeness.
