"Williston Republican state Rep. Nico Rios was “verbally abusive, homophobic, racially abusive and discriminatory” toward police officers when he was arrested for driving under the influence this month, according to police records that are backed up by police body camera footage.
Rios was the first person to make his Dec. 15 arrest public knowledge, posting a statement on X three days later expressing his regret for the situation. His initial statement didn’t provide details of the arrest, which were first reported by Forum columnist Rob Port."
