Bachstiftung Printed in 1681/82, the three volume, 27 kg commentary to the Luther Bible was Johann Sebastian Bach’s constant companion when composing, and it contains many notations his own hand. The facsimile edition owned by the J. S. Bach Foundation is the only copy currently open to the public in Switzerland.

Der dreibändige, 27 kg schwere, 1681/82 gedruckte Kommentar zur Lutherbibel war Johann Sebastian Bachs ständiger Begleiter bei seiner Kompositionsarbeit und er notierte darin zahlreiche Anmerkungen. Die Faksimile-Ausgabe der J. S. Bach-Stiftung ist das einzige öffentlich zugängliche Exemplar in der Schweiz.
