The arrival of the conqueror is near and the world as we know it is doomed. At least, this is what threatens humanity according to the story that Kassel-based Chaos Path have prepared on their previous releases “The Awakening” (2018) and “Downfall” (2019) and which will be completed on their third album “The Last Sign Of Eden”, which will be released on September 6.
Chaos Path's roots lie in Nordic-influenced melodic black metal, which the band blends with the rawness of German thrash to form a mixture that is innovative and groundbreaking. “The Last Sign Of Eden” playfully combines razor-sharp riffs, brute fury, progressive structures and highly melodic guitar work with the anthemic epicness of heavy metal and immediately bites into the ear canals.
The band structure around the two founding members Ancient Weapon (v) and Richy Backfire (g) as well as long-term drummer Soul Obliterator has been greatly enhanced in recent years with the arrival of new members Nocturnal Reaper (g) and The Doom Lord (b), making the strongest line-up in the band's eight-year history a reality. The quintet celebrates an intense and dark live performance and has already conquered many club and festival stages. Most recently they played at the Metal Bash and the Protzen Open Air, among others, and around the time of the album release the band can still be seen live at the Schwalm Metal and the album release show on the open-air stage in Hann. Chaos Path are an important part of the very active scene in and around Kassel, as well as the metal underground in general.
