“Grave threat to regional peace…” Pakistan rattled by India’s voice to merge PoK grows louder

ANI News Amid the election season, Raksha Mantri, EAM Jaishankar have strengthened India’s PoK pitch. Meanwhile, India on April 25 said it had reached out to Iranian side after Kashmir issue was mentioned in Pak-Iran joint statement. Irked by India’s firm PoK stance, Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Minister on April 26 rejected India’s claim. Pak’s Foreign Office spox said there had been an “alarming surge in provocative statements”. Pak ‘warned’ India that “inflammatory rhetoric poses a grave threat to regional peace and stability”. India has remained resolute, calling entire Jammu and Kashmir including PoK as part of India. Addressing media persons on April 04, EAM Jaishankar said “we will never accept that the PoK is not an integral part of India”. Rajnath Singh on April 21 said considering the development taking place, the people of PoK will themselves demand to be with India.
