Wait...it's the middle of August? No, no, no, no, that can't be right because Memorial Day was, like, two weeks ago, right? RIGHT?!
Well, before we know it, fall will be in the air, but that doesn't mean you've gotta break out the light jackets and Doc Martens just yet because Sharon has come up with just the right drink to help keep you in that summer vibe. She calls it the "Sloe Summer."
This sweet and refreshing drink is a lovely blend of fruit-forward gin and nice rosé. Utilizing gin made with sloe berries, you're going to find flavors of plum, cherry, and maybe even some subtle nutmeg on the finish. It is bright and wonderful and will serve you well in your mission to slow things down, at least just for a little while.
INGREDIENTS:
► 2 oz Botanist Islay 22 Gin
► 1¼ oz Hayman's Sloe Gin
► 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
► 1 oz strawberry rosé simple syrup
► 2 dashes of bitters
► ~4 oz Dry rosé
► Lime wheel
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Grab glassware of your choosing
2. Combine gin, sloe gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and bitters in the glass.
3. Top with rosé.
4. Add ice & stir.
5. Garnish with lime wheel.
