The S&P 500, for example, measures the performance of the US stock market and it has never failed to bounce back after a dip. The #StockMarket may decline by 30% or more in any given year. But historically, there has never been a 20-year period of negative real returns in the history of the US stock market. This means that even if you were exceptionally unlucky in timing your entry into the market, you still made money after 20 years. The main question is whether investors are patient enough to wait out a #MarketCrash.
But then, there is the “odd” case of #Japan where the #NIKKEI225 which is the main #JapaneseStockMarket index, peaked in #1989 and still hasn’t recovered even after more than 30 years. Now the question is: Could the same thing happen in the US as well? And if so, how could you protect yourself from it? That’s what we will look at in this video. Enjoy!
