These verses are a perfect description of what it means to walk in darkness. Jesus is still giving his Farewell Discourse and he makes it very clear that however the world treats or will treat him is how they can expect to be treated, for the servant is not greater than the master. He is addressing the disciples, but clearly, present day believers can expect the same. A short discussion is given to what it means to "rest" in Christ. A third promise of the coming of the Holy Spirit is given. Some very important is given as to how we, as believers, are to interact with the Spirit.
