Urumqi, a vibrant city in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, eagerly awaits the sixth Xinjiang International Dance Festival, scheduled to run from July 20 to August 5. With 28 exceptional productions and a captivating lineup of 60 mesmerizing performances, this 17-day event will showcase various artistic forms, including ballet, national dance drama, musical drama, dance theater and song. The festival's grand inauguration at the esteemed People's Hall of Xinjiang on July 20 will feature the highly anticipated revival of the country's original grand historical dance drama, "Zhang Qian." The festival concludes on August 5 with an enchanting performance of "The Red Detachment of Women" by the renowned National Ballet of China, creating a remarkable celebration of cultural richness and artistic excellence.
