The horrific collision of two passenger trains in the eastern Indian state of Odisha on June 2 killed 294 people, with 1175 others reportedly injured, making it the country's deadliest rail accident in more than 20 years, according to officials.
Shankar Das, a survivor of the accident, told CGTN stringer that he was on the train to Chennai and witnessed the moment the train derailed. He suffered multiple broken bones and was carried on a stretcher after the accident.
