At Home In Wild Spaces General Sherman is famous for being the largest tree in the world attracts scores of visitors to Sequoia National Park in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. But as incredible as General Sherman is, the Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park is so much more than just the home of one gigantic tree.
This new 4K HDR series will show you the Giant Sequoias like you've never seen them before starting with the best way to climb Moro Rock, the dramatic granite dome on the south end of Sequoia National Park's Giant Forest.
We'll learn first hand how fires and a rapidly changing climate are threatening these living giants. We've lost 14% of these irreplaceable trees between 2020 and 2021 and with fires reaching their greatest intensity in human history, these "god-like" giants may soon be lost.
Can they be saved? I desperately hope so. Their loss would be more than a tragedy.
