Tony Thurmond 'seriously considering' run for California governor

KCRA News California's head of public instruction announced he is "seriously considering" a run for governor in 2026. Tony Thurmond, state superintendent of public instruction, tweeted out a statement that explains his reasons for announcing his intention to run for governor. He said he even already formed a committee to begin the process of exploring a run.
