LIGHT -THE ANTIDOTE TO DARKNESS

*Wednesday 01ST May 2024*

As we journey with God, seasons of darkness may come our way but no matter how dark it becomes, light will shine forth.

There was darkness in Isreal at one time but God used Elijah to bring forth light. (*1 Kings 18*)

When seasons of darkness arise, you need the correct interpretation to act right so that you invoke the mighty hand of God to work on your behalf. *(1 Chronicles 12:32, 1 Kings 18:38, 2 Chronicles 16:9)*.

*Exodus 3:7-9*
The children of Israel did not interpret well so they could not understand that their season to move had come.

Sometimes your Kairos moment is announced by thick darkness so in such times you need to cry out to God to open the eyes of your understanding so that you correctly know what to do.

*Luke 23:44-45 Now it was about the sixth hour, and THERE WAS DARKNESS OVER ALL THE EARTH until the ninth hour. Then the SUN WAS DARKENED, and the veil of the temple was torn in two.*

Most times darkness will announce a season of light. All Jesus' disciples could not interpret the season of darkness, no wonder they lost all hope when they heard that His body was missing.

*Luke 24:21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.*

They lost hope because there was a veil of darkness that covered their eyes and were restrained from understanding. *(Luke 24:16)*

In the midst of darkness, Jesus is always present. He drew near to them but they could not recognize Him because they lacked spiritual understanding. *(Luke24:15)*.

Sometimes God allows you to go through a storm (darkness) so that your faith may be built. In such moments you should only focus on light because darkness can never comprehend light *(Luke 24:31, John 1:5)*

*Isaiah 2:2-4*
The hope of all nations that Isaiah prophesied is in the church. So we must labor to put an end to the darkness (war and injustice) that the world is facing today. *Matthew 16:18*

*Isaiah 60:1-2*
*[1]Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.*
*[2]For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.*

The glory that is prophesied will only come by light.

Before you enter your "promised land" there is a darkness that always comes but it comes to announce a season of light.

*Isaiah 9:2-7 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined....*

There was a long season of darkness but when Jesus came, light came and overshadowed the darkness.

This light is coming again but before He comes, the church has to keep the devil under her feet. *(Ephesians 1:15-24)*

God is equipping the church with the wisdom of the Divine, so let us keep in the Word and yielding to the Holy Spirit until our light shines forth.
