In Scripture, a redeemer is a close relative who is able and willing to deliver by payment.
The Bible teaches that we "all have sinned..." (Rom 3:23). Every one of us needs to be delivered from sin and the eternal punishment that it earns us ("the wages of sin is death" - Rom 6:23)
The GOOD NEWS is: "There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God's own Son."
How does Jesus redeem sinners? "...in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins." (Eph 1:7)
Jesus, who could not sin, offered his perfect life and shed his blood at Calvary. This blood was the required price of redemption for guilty sinners. He suffered instead of the sinner, and said 'It is finished.' He has completed the work of redemption!
You can be redeemed, if you only "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ..." (Acts 16:31)
