We are very proud to announce that we have won the Sustainable Exhibitor Award for our booth at this year's Intersolar Europe in Munich. This new award from EUPD Research Energy honors especially sustainable exhibition concepts. Over 80 exhibitors applied, but our concept stood out!
“Sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us at Meyer Burger – it's a promise. Our booth was designed to adhere to the circular economy principle and produce minimal waste, just like our solar modules. We are thrilled to be the first recipient of this award,” says Bettina Brammer, our Head of Marketing.
The STEP (Sustainable Trade Events Partnership) initiative by EUPD aims to make trade fairs and events climate-neutral and waste-free. “Meyer Burger has taken a pioneering role with their booth concept and demonstrated that a truly sustainable trade fair booth is possible,” says Jens Mürke, Head of ESG at EUPD. By simply foregoing the trade fair flooring, 10.5 tons of CO₂ were saved – that's impressive and hopefully inspires many others!
