I'm a huge climate advocate, Musk declared. However, in no way, shape, or form do we have to get rid of farming in order to combat climate change.
Belgian farmers do not oppose attempts to combat climate change, despite what the billionaire said in the tweet that served as the inspiration for his statement. Their outrage is tied to a strategy that is being discussed inside the Flemish government and aims to cut nitrogen emissions while posing the threat of closing the most polluting farms.
