2024 BMW 5 Series vs Mercedes E-Class 2024 : Comparison G60 vs W214.
In a weird coincidence, both cars (BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class) have similarly stepped headlights, with little notches on the bottom. That’s where their similarities end, however. The new BMW 5 Series is sharp, sporty, and futuristic looking. Its kidney grille is still big but it’s downright tiny compared to the brand’s other new models. But Mercedes E-Class has single grille is very typically Mercedes-Benz by front. The 5 Series looks exciting and edgy. While the Mercedes is handsome, sophisticated, and understated, it’s by comparison, the E-Class appears more conservative from its competitor, the bmw 5 series.

From the Side
Interestingly, both cars actually have similar silhouettes. Both features low rooflines, aggressive A and C-pillars, and subtle shoulder lines. Again, the Mercedes is smooth and understated, looking like a luxurious executive car. While the 5 Series is sharper, sportier and more aggressive. So both cars are handsome. If you like sportier cars, you’ll like the 5 Series. If you prefer luxury, go for the E-Class.

Out Back
In new E-Class the rear has a stronger design element: a full-width light bar - inspired by the EQ design language - and chunky LED taillights with a 3D Mercedes star design insignia. While the BMW 5 series slim, horizontal, dual-LED approach is sharp, slick, and high-tech looking. The rear emulates a 7 Series with long, narrow taillights and represents an evolutionary design that looks timeless.

Inside
BMW smartly migrated 7 Series interior's design that over to the 5 Series, which looks fabulous inside. This fantastic features make the 5 Series cabin so good. The 5 Series has a variety of different materials, such as real wood, real leather, and real metal. While the Mercedes E-Class has nice materials, its design is domintated by its Hyperscreen, which is just code for a lot of black piano black plastic.
Display screens take centrestage in this era, and BMW and Mercedes-Benz demonstrate their different approaches, with the Curved Display and Superscreen designs respectively. The E-Class boasts the MBUX Superscreen, which is integrated into the primary dash, but spans the entire width and includes various displays for driver and passenger.
In comparison BMW boasts the BMW Curved Display integrating digital instrumentation (12.3 inches) with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen behind one curved piece of glass atop the dash.
Both have more seating space for front and rear occupantss.
Both the G60 BMW 5 Series and the W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class come loaded with active safety and driver assistance systems; BMW claims a world-first with Active Lane Change Assistant that executes a lane change (where safe) when the driver looks at the exterior mirror after a prompt, while the Attention Assist on the E-Class adds a driver distraction alert.

Feature sets from the consumer electronics realm feature heavily, as both the G60 5 Series and W214 E-Class pack a selfie camera, as well as a host of applications which include games.
