Die Serie "Freigesegelt" begleitet die Hamburger Freunde Claus Aktoprak und Todde Mohr auf ihrer unvergesslichen Segelreise über Nordsee und Nordatlantik. Erlebt ihre Abenteuer hautnah mit und entdeckt mit ihnen die Schönheit der Shetland Inseln, der Färöer, der Hebriden, Irlands und der schottischen Highlands. Die beiden Segler haben sich vorgenommen, die wilde Natur dieser abgelegenen Inselgruppen zu besegeln und dabei auch die Herausforderungen der offenen See zu meistern. Kommt mit an Bord ihres Segelbootes JOSS, und lasst euch von der Schönheit der Nordsee, des Nordatlantiks und den beeindruckenden Landschaften, Tieren und Kulturen seiner Inseln verzaubern.
Die Serie besteht aus acht Folgen und jede Episode zeigt dabei eine andere Facette der über 3 Monate dauernden Reise. Von den Vorbereitungen bis hin zur Rückkehr werden die Zuschauer unmittelbar dabei sein, wenn Claus Aktoprak und Todde Mohr erleben, dass Freundschaft und Abenteuerlust unbesiegbar sind.
