What lies inside? Well, it's an early 2000s custom build, and a lot of discovery in its software. It's a long, chaotic video, so stay tuned. With that, let's see how their minimum specifications for the Steam version of the game hold up in the early part of a single-player game, albeit with a slightly higher-than-minimum-spec GPU, but one I would say is a better fit than the actual listed GPU on the minimum system requirements./media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="40" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="2975"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:3gBObhIchi4/id> yt:videoId>3gBObhIchi4/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCuxwvxDSurBDS9kBiFxkBQA/yt:channelId> title>FINALLY got a capture card.../title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gBObhIchi4"/> author> name>Jordan Woolery/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuxwvxDSurBDS9kBiFxkBQA/uri> /author> published>2024-01-29T05:07:45+00:00/published> updated>2024-03-17T13:09:00+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>FINALLY got a capture card.../media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/3gBObhIchi4?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i4.ytimg.com/vi/3gBObhIchi4/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>Want to see more from me? Unfortunately the eBay seller I bought this computer from no longer has any stock of these units, otherwise I'd have linked the listing down below. Regardless, I still can't believe this survived all this time in its original box, but it's about time it got brought into the sunlight and appreciated after ~15 years.

What lies inside? Well, it's an early 2000s custom build, and a lot of discovery in its software. It's a long, chaotic video, so stay tuned. 3:: Gaming on The GeForce GT 220...

··· ··· ··· ··· Want to see more from me? Join my Discord server! https://discord.gg/Rd9HEyfc9d Today I try running some games on the GeForce GT 220, a display adapter released around early 2010 (or at least the ASUS 1GB DDR2 variant), and find out some of what it can (or, rather, can't) do with some select games. This is an early attempt at doing some proper capture card benchmarking videos, therefore I'm going to be a little rusty at it. I'm open to particular game tests or some other suggestions on making the content as good as it can, where applicable of course, be it card-specific tests in a game, or vice versa.

With that, let's see how their minimum specifications for the Steam version of the game hold up in the early part of a single-player game, albeit with a slightly higher-than-minimum-spec GPU, but one I would say is a better fit than the actual listed GPU on the minimum system requirements.

I know this video wasn't much, however that isn't to say future videos won't be better quality than this one, this was mainly for testing.

For a more technical look at the game's performance, I would still rely on other media outlets for their in depth testing (e.g, Hardware Unboxed, Gamers Nexus, JayzTwoCents, etc). What can I make that is truly extreme, yet still has the ability to run Windows XP when I need to? Is it perfect? No, and likely it never will be for many reasons. However what it is now is still likely one of the best machines to run Windows XP on, and definitely my best Windows XP machine. Yeah you could consider the hardware "going to waste", however it only takes switching the SSD or HDD out for another and installing modern Windows and *boom* suddenly it's no longer a waste of hardware now is it? Anyways, I hope you enjoy this very long, rambly video. Hoping in the future to allow this machine to make more appearances on my channel. Join my Discord server! https://discord.gg/Rd9HEyfc9d In this video I wanted to wrap up some last-minute thoughts about my experience with the Arc A770, including some opinions on their products, and my recommendation for the card / series as a whole. I do think if you are more of a PC enthusiast and were curious about the card, now is a better time than it was at launch to pick one of these up, however intel still has a long way to go with driver and software refinement and feature parity, so unless you are aware of the shortcomings, I do think that it would be best to go with a competitor like AMD unless you require the feature sets of CUDA, then you likely already have what you need. Phew, now that that is done I can try to get back to other projects.

··· ··· ··· ··· Want to see more from me? Join my Discord server! https://discord.gg/Rd9HEyfc9d It's now part 2 of the Arc for a month challenge. In this one I haven't had as much time to do some experimentation as I'd have liked, but that still doesn't mean it was a quiet update video. I mainly tried a new game, a couple older games, and I did a couple of playstation emulators, but nothing crazy. In addition I tried a little bit of video exporting and rendering, and DaVinci Resolve with H.264 to H.265 exports seems to work alright, but could be better. All in all, hope you enjoy the video!

23:: Using Intel Arc for a Month | Part 1

··· ··· ··· ··· Want to see more from me? Join my Discord server! https://discord.gg/Rd9HEyfc9d It has been 15 days since I started the challenge of using the new Intel Arc A770 graphics card (or really an Arc card in general), so I thought it would be past due for giving an update on how the card has been doing in my system, what I've tested with it, and some of the things that I don't like about the Arc experience (and of course some of the things I do like). This is not the all-encompassing update video to end the challenge, it very much is in progress, and I am still using the A770 as my daily driver graphics card. As more time goes on, I plan to get a little more experimental and try older APIs, emulators, my video editor (DaVinci Resolve 18 as of the time of filming), and of course try out the DXVK feature where applicable, like games that utilize Direct X 9. Though the usefulness of that mod might be waning due to the latest 101.3959 driver version that allows a massive performance boost in older games likely due to the baked-in assistance of the DXVK translation layer, given Microsoft's translation layer from DX9 to DX12 has a very noticeable performance overhead. Stay tuned as there will eventually be at least a Part 2 and a Part 3 to this series if my time allows.
