··· ··· ··· ··· We got the news that KC doesn't need surgery and Liam had an appointment so we took Liam's new wheelchair to the Utah Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. The baby zebra was hit with snow. A seal performed some tricks for us and the lions showed up as soon as we were leaving. The kids also enjoyed a small snowball fight. ( I can't remember which exactly) Then we used a lightweight stroller. His new wheelchair is a Quickie 2 2HD wheelchair. ··· ··· ··· ··· Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point in Utah has a fire and ice show this year. This is the first time we go to Luminaria in the six years that they have had the event. Is Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point worth it? This all depends on how you look at it and what you expect from it. It was a beautiful display of Christmas lights and other Christmas-themed scenes, like a nativity. The kids loved seeing the reindeer and touching the reindeer antlers. It was a wheelchair-friendly adaptive adventure that we all enjoyed! The music was great and they have some family interactive activities. ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello! It has been a minute but I am back with a family/channel update. A lot has happened in the past year since the last time I posted a video. A few points in the video: I changed the channel name to Casita de Crystal (Crystal's little house) as we are constantly changing. learning, and evolving I want to be more intentional and mindful of what I post about. I started this channel to update and share a window into our life as a special needs family or with children with disabilities. My intention is to bring hope to those in similar situations as us, families with children with disabilities, who are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have moved into a smaller space. Our son with multiple disabilities is progressing. Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. KC my husband was in an accident that ended with a broken neck. But I continue forward with faith that everything will be ok no matter the outcome.
