··· ··· ··· ··· Hi folks - I used to believe this song was really about rain come shine, but I've now found out that John Fogerty wrote the song against the background of the growing tensions within the band. A lot of success, a lot of money, but still the boys were increasingly unhappy. So comparable with the fact that it rains on a very nice sunny day. His brother Tom also left the band. In 1972 CCR disbanded. The images of my video are adapted to this background and not to great landscapes full of rain and sunshine. Rather, it serves the true purpose of the song. The style of my cover version is also based more on a great version by the band Smokie, which I have admired for many years. Hallo Leute - früher habe auch ich immer geglaubt bei diesem Lied dreht es sich wirklich um Regen bei Sonnenschein, aber nun habe ich erfahren, dass John Fogerty das Lied geschrieben hat mit dem Hintergrund der wachsenden Spannungen innerhalb der Band. Viel Erfolg, viel Geld, aber trotzdem waren die Jungs zunehmend unglücklich. Also vergleichbar mit dem Umstand dass es an einem sehr schönen sonnigen Tag widersinnigerweise regnet. Sein Bruder Tom verließ dann auch noch die Band. 1972 hat sich CCR aufgelöst. Mein Video ist von den Bildern her an diesen Hintergrund angepasst und nicht an tolle Landschaften voller Regen und Sonnenschein. Es bedient eher den wahren Grund des Liedes. Meine Cover-Version beruht vom Stil her auch eher an einer großartigen Version der Band Smokie die ich seit vielen Jahren sehr schätze.
