Hey friends, I am so glad I got to speak with my friend Sam! We go way back to the New Life church days of almost a decade ago. Sam has been a good friend over the years and after some back and forth we made this talk happen! She shares about some deconstruction and lessons from childhood and also talks how she gets help and copes and how nothing is permanent! Toward the end we discuss her rad art skills and I am going to have her on the podcast again to talk more theology and deconstruction! Samantha BIO: Former worship leader and youth pastor, Sam Montag is an advocate for mental health wellness for those of us who are deconstructing or are part of the growing de-churched Links: https://loudernowpodcast.com/episodes/ https://loudernowpodcast.com/donate/ https://www.instagram.com/jareddiehl8//media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="1" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="21"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:dIDdbfEM-5s/id> yt:videoId>dIDdbfEM-5s/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCpnuX1J3fSqLI-cy7ZyTcFw/yt:channelId> title>Why Are You Sad?( Episode #193)/title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIDdbfEM-5s"/> author> name>Jared Diehl/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpnuX1J3fSqLI-cy7ZyTcFw/uri> /author> published>2024-04-21T05:48:03+00:00/published> updated>2024-05-29T22:06:49+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>Why Are You Sad?( Episode #193)/media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/dIDdbfEM-5s?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/dIDdbfEM-5s/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>Episode #193. I so loved this talk with Michelle because she has a very clear and profound message around the narrative related to the mental health care system and the language around the bipolar diagnosis. Since over the summer of 2023 I have been moving in a new direction with Louder Now and I have been using the language around healing which is something Michelle has been saying to. She is a excellent communicator and I highly suggest you check out her resources on her website related to healing your bipolar. Thank you Michelle for being a guest! Michelle's BIO: Having been diagnosed with bipolar in 1998, Michelle spent the next 12 years on a roller coaster of manic and depressive episodes with therapists, doctors, psychotropic meds, hospitalizations, and suicide attempts. She was at her wit's end and felt humiliated, hopeless and lost. In particular, she was devastated by the toll it took on her family-her husband and small children. Finally, she and her psychiatrist found a solution that became a turning point in her story. She began the process of developing an integrated method for understanding this devastating disorder and successfully treating it. Michelle advocates for a radical shift in the treatment of bipolar to facilitate healing and recovery. She is all about accepting responsibility for yourself and overcoming the victimhood mentality that so often accompanies bipolar disorder. She teaches an integrated, research-based treatment model that addresses the underlying causes of bipolar symptoms and allows people to heal. These are the kinds of conversations that we need. BIO: I am a Shamana, Medicine Woman and a healer (who is also behind the scenes on a deep childhood sexual trauma healing journey). I was born and raised in Pakistan and moved to the US when i was 14. My spiritual awakening (or as I like to call wounds awakening) happened when I one day woke up, listened to the spirit that was loud and clear and moved to Nepal as a young 17 year old. This is where my healing began. I have traveled to over 28 countries to search for "Me". And during the period, I got lost in the masculine world first as an aerospace engineer then as a US Marine Officer until my nervous system completely fried and i was forced to face those wounds that i first discovered as a young woman in Nepal. I have known deep pain yet in that pain, I also learned to alchemize them to be a spiritual guide. I deeply care for the awakening of the collective so we stop going to war with each others nation and stop going to war with ourselves and to remember that we are the God's consciousness living a human experience. We CAN in fact live a beautiful, prosperous, heck even luxurious life even as a spiritual guide. https://www.instagram.com/rimshawarda/ https://www.instagram.com/aherstorypodcast/ https://loudernowpodcast.com/episodes/ https://loudernowpodcast.com/donate//media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="1" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="8"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:_d5n0NTgVHU/id> yt:videoId>_d5n0NTgVHU/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCpnuX1J3fSqLI-cy7ZyTcFw/yt:channelId> title>Episode #187 Long Term Healing/title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d5n0NTgVHU"/> author> name>Jared Diehl/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpnuX1J3fSqLI-cy7ZyTcFw/uri> /author> published>2024-02-18T04:44:55+00:00/published> updated>2024-05-19T10:25:46+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>Episode #187 Long Term Healing/media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/_d5n0NTgVHU?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i4.ytimg.com/vi/_d5n0NTgVHU/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>I highly recommend you check The Upside Of Bipolar podcast. 3:: The Healing Path & Challenging The Narrative Around Bipolar With Michelle Reittinger( Episode #192)

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 01.04.2024 · 17:54:33 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Episode #192. I hope it gives you hope that you can do this work to. We CAN in fact live a beautiful, prosperous, heck even luxurious life even as a spiritual guide. https://www.instagram.com/rimshawarda/ https://www.instagram.com/aherstorypodcast/ https://loudernowpodcast.com/episodes/ https://loudernowpodcast.com/donate/

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 01.04.2023 · 03:40:09 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Episode #146. Brantley is the second guest to return for a second recording. His first appearance was the very first guest talk I did and it goes all the way back to April 2020. I was in a hard time when we did the first recording so I am so glad you get to hear us now amost 3 yeas later. If you listened to the Our Spiritual Journey episode I start with this idea: Its hard for us to say anyhing negative about what our parents might have done in a negative way. The same can be true for spiritual enviroments/ leaders and places where we gather and talk our faith. Brantley and myself spent time at the House of Prayer and it is a fun and interesting talk to reflect on what life has been like since the IHOP days..almost a decade later. I am so glad we got to talk and I am grateful for friendships. Brantley BIO: Brantley Smith has been serving the local church for over 15 years as a worship leader and minister. He is fascinated by the intersection of our belief systems and mental health, never being afraid to ask hard questions.
