Sarah Ziegler (*1994) is a filmmaker and diver from Freiburg. She's a key member of the Black Forest Collective film production company and is bord member of Wild Europe e.V., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting wilderness and biodiversity through multimedia projects across Europe. With a deep commitment to environmental conservation and civilian sea rescue, Sarah is also pursuing a degree in Biology at the University of Freiburg.
Simon Straetker (*1993) is an adventurous filmmaker and globetrotter known for his captivating short films showcasing the most remote corners of our planet. His acclaimed works include the cinema documentary "At the Edges of the World" and the short documentary "Seabird - The Civilian Eye." Simon's dedication to his craft has earned him accolades such as the German Nature Conservation Award and a spot on the prestigious Forbes "30 under 30 Europe" list.

Sarah Ziegler (*1994) is a filmmaker and diver from Freiburg. She's a key member of the Black Forest Collective film production company and is bord member of Wild Europe e.V., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting wilderness and biodiversity through multimedia projects across Europe. With a deep commitment to environmental conservation and civilian sea rescue, Sarah is also pursuing a degree in Biology at the University of Freiburg.
Simon Straetker (*1993) is an adventurous filmmaker and globetrotter known for his captivating short films showcasing the most remote corners of our planet. His acclaimed works include the cinema documentary "At the Edges of the World" and the short documentary "Seabird - The Civilian Eye." Simon's dedication to his craft has earned him accolades such as the German Nature Conservation Award and a spot on the prestigious Forbes "30 under 30 Europe" list.

Besides technological solutions for the climate and sustainability crisis, the docu-fictional impactfilm puts great emphasis on the necessity of a collective mind shift. While this is an aspect of sustainability that many people, especially activists, can agree on, it intuitively does not seem like a topic which is widely backed up by the scientific community. Our ambassador Prof. Dr. Christine Wamsler taught us differently! She is researching on how the inner/emotional dimension affects our behaviour in terms of sustainability.
Christine is one of the many researchers who have consulted us in developing THE STORY OF A NEW WORLD during research calls. Christine’s input has been extremely relevant for shaping the storyline. Thank you so much for your support, dear Christine!

Prof. Dr. Christine Wamsler is Professor of Sustainability Science at Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS). She is also the director of the Contemplative Sustainable Futures Program (www.contemplative-sustainable-futures.com). The aim of this program is to create space and opportunities for learning, networking and knowledge development on the role of inner dimensions and transformation for sustainability.

Ruth von Heusinger, a graduate physicist, worked in the field of renewable energies and emissions trading at Statkraft and gained experience in the voluntary carbon market at atmosfair. However, she wanted to make it possible to offset carbon emissions with a direct effect in Europe. That’s why she founded the non-profit organisation ForTomorrow in December 2019.
