Rs 400 for 400 gram packet Rs 2100 for 1.8 kg packet Rs 4800 for 5.4 kg packet The other good brands I would recommend to feed your kittens are: 1) Royal Canin 36 dry kitten food 2) Royal Canin wet kitten gravy (heat the wet food to destroy any leftover bacteria and mix the wet food with boiled rice) 3) Whiskas Ocean fish for kittens 4) Orijen 5) Whiskas chicken/tuna in gravy - (heat the wet food to destroy any leftover bacteria and mix the wet food with boiled rice) DO NOT feed your kittens with these foods as I had a bad experience with them: 1) MeO wet food for kittens - many packets are likely to be contaminated with bacteria which gave my kitten bloody diarrhea, fever, liver damage which eventually lead to her death if not treated on time. 2) Taste of the wild cat food - it has a bitter smell as it contains salmon and trout as the main ingredient. Some cats who have already been fed on a salmon diet will like it while some cats may not like it. Andy kitten recovers after consuming contaminated raw fish --2 MAY 2020: On 2nd May at 9am, Andy kitten's heart was beating rapidly for 15 minutes and he was crying. That evening, I took it to the vet and we got to know that Andy kitten had eaten something poisonous. It affected his central nervous system giving him neurological problems such as blindness, loss of coordination in his limbs and difficulty walking. He would sneak into the corners for safety and to be at rest. The vet gave him 2 injections. ---3 MAY 2020: On 3rd May, the vet gave him some vitamin in his mouth which he was consuming.His heartbeat, body temperature and vitals were all normal and he will survive. He would neither eat nor drink or make urine/stools on 2nd and 3rd May, so we let his body to naturally recover so that he takes adequate rest. ---4 MAY 2020: On 4th May, Andy kitten had a teaspoon of Hill's prescription food. He made urine and his blindness disappeared. At times, Andy would vomit a little saliva. ---7th MAY 2020: On 7th May, Andy recovered and was normal. CAUSES: There is a high possibility that he has consumed raw fish contaminated with traces of Mercury which gives symptoms such as loss of coordination in the limbs and difficulty walking. Mercury is generally concentrated in the head and intestines of the fish. We feed him cat food, boiled chicken, cooked fish. But he always ate raw fish if someone discarded it in our compound. CONCLUSION: Please do not feed your cats raw fish because of the dangers of Mercury contamination. There are also fishes which have been preserved in Formaldehyde which is a dangerous carcinogen. Blondie is doing well. However, Melanie is no more and passed away due to a liver problem in May 2020.

Born: ~ 20 Nov 2019 Died: 23 May 2020 Causes of death: liver failure, diarrhea, dehydration, weight loss, shrinking in size, loss of appetite. Precautions: 1) Please do not feed your kittens with MeO wet kitten food as it's likely to be contaminated with bacteria which is fatal. It gives fever, diarrhea and blood in the stools and is fatal if not treated on time. 2) Do not give Nemocid deworming syrup if your kitten is suffering from diarrhea. Always take it to the vet to solve the diarrhea problem. 3) If you are feeding wet food, give it Royal Canin wet food as they do proper quality checks. If your kitten has diarrhea accompanied with blood in the stools, please take it to the vet as it can be fatal in the later stages. Delaying it will cause indigestion, liver problems and ultimately death.

Is it: 1) MeO Ocean fish for kittens or 2) Matisse kitten food or 3) Acana Pacifica cat & kitten food? Our cats love all the 3 brands of kitten food. 1) MeO Ocean fish for kitten is the most affordable food. Rs 355 for 1.2 kg packet Rs 840 for 2.8 kg packet 2) Matisse Kitten food has very small pellets. Rs 300 for 400 gram packet Rs 1040 for 1.5 kg packet Rs 5500 for 10 kg packet 3) Acana Pacifica is expensive. It has a strong fishy smell and has 8 different varieties of fish such as herring, pilchard, flounder, cod oil, whiting meal, pollock oil, silver hake and redstripe rockfish. Rs 400 for 400 gram packet Rs 2100 for 1.8 kg packet Rs 4800 for 5.4 kg packet The other good brands I would recommend to feed your kittens are: 1) Royal Canin 36 dry kitten food 2) Royal Canin wet kitten gravy (heat the wet food to destroy any leftover bacteria and mix the wet food with boiled rice) 3) Whiskas Ocean fish for kittens 4) Orijen 5) Whiskas chicken/tuna in gravy - (heat the wet food to destroy any leftover bacteria and mix the wet food with boiled rice) DO NOT feed your kittens with these foods as I had a bad experience with them: 1) MeO wet food for kittens - many packets are likely to be contaminated with bacteria which gave my kitten bloody diarrhea, fever, liver damage which eventually lead to her death if not treated on time. 2) Taste of the wild cat food - it has a bitter smell as it contains salmon and trout as the main ingredient. Some cats who have already been fed on a salmon diet will like it while some cats may not like it. If cats don't like it, then mix with regular cat food so that they eat up everything.

··· ··· ··· ··· On 16th May 2020, my brother rescued a female Asian koel bird (also cuckoo). She is a baby chick. She was not injured at that time, but we rescued her before any crows attack her. We are feeding it papaya, mango, jamun, love apple, rice and some other fruits. Sadly she has injured her right wing after she flew near the ceiling fan. Thank God she is safe and is recovering. We will release her once she is able to fly again.

Andy kitten recovers after consuming contaminated raw fish --2 MAY 2020: On 2nd May at 9am, Andy kitten's heart was beating rapidly for 15 minutes and he was crying. That evening, I took it to the vet and we got to know that Andy kitten had eaten something poisonous. It affected his central nervous system giving him neurological problems such as blindness, loss of coordination in his limbs and difficulty walking. He would sneak into the corners for safety and to be at rest. The vet gave him 2 injections. ---3 MAY 2020: On 3rd May, the vet gave him some vitamin in his mouth which he was consuming.His heartbeat, body temperature and vitals were all normal and he will survive. He would neither eat nor drink or make urine/stools on 2nd and 3rd May, so we let his body to naturally recover so that he takes adequate rest. ---4 MAY 2020: On 4th May, Andy kitten had a teaspoon of Hill's prescription food. He made urine and his blindness disappeared. At times, Andy would vomit a little saliva. ---7th MAY 2020: On 7th May, Andy recovered and was normal. CAUSES: There is a high possibility that he has consumed raw fish contaminated with traces of Mercury which gives symptoms such as loss of coordination in the limbs and difficulty walking. Mercury is generally concentrated in the head and intestines of the fish. We feed him cat food, boiled chicken, cooked fish. But he always ate raw fish if someone discarded it in our compound. CONCLUSION: Please do not feed your cats raw fish because of the dangers of Mercury contamination. There are also fishes which have been preserved in Formaldehyde which is a dangerous carcinogen. Always remove the head and intestines, wash the fish thoroughly in running water and boil the fish before giving it to the cats.
