3:: Biur Chametz - The Removal of Leaven before Passover
01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 27.03.2023 · 01:04:01 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· Each year, just prior to Passover, Jews clean out their homes of any chametz (חָמֵץ) "leavening," so that no fermentation of any sort is found in their homes for an entire week. And only unleavened bread is consumed for seven days of the festival (Ex 12:15, 20). In this video, I teach children about the removal of hametz (biur chametz) and invite them to participate in the destruction of the last bits of leaven prior to Pesach.

4:: The Hebrew Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven: Matthew 16:19

Anyone who reads this immediately sees that this is an amazing honor and no small gift. Someone may hand us keys from a new car or even a house, but keys from heaven. That is an astounding reward. Behind the Judeo-Greek text that calls these keys κλεῖδας (kleidas) is a Hebrew concept of the מַפְתְּחוֹת מַלְכוּת הַשָׁמָיִם (maftechot malchut hashamaim) translated as “keys of the kingdom of heaven.”
