1:: HQ Toxic 3m - first flight

··· ··· ··· ··· I took the HQ Toxic 3m out for the first time yesterday. The wind was a bit off and on, but the kite performed well, I definitely would feel confident with it to fly much more powered up...

··· ··· ··· ··· From last weekend - Easterly winds meant I could buggy from the car park down the lake, the wind dropped on the way back and I really should have put up a bigger kite! This week I got a new PB - but no video!

7:: Pimp my ride

··· ··· ··· ··· I have had some upgrades to my kite buggy... It's no longer your standard Peter Lynn Comp XR+ - 140cm gigastrong axle, 15cm longer (and stonger!) side frames - which has also slightly added to the height and enabled me to lower the seat so I now sit in rather than on! And a custom adjustable back rest.

··· ··· ··· ··· Had a great morning in the buggy today, I did just under 50kms with a top speed of 57.7kph with the 5m Flow. Also did an unintentional 360 and got up on two wheels! I got to have a go in Bones' S2, thanks mate, now guess what I really want? Here's to next weekend...

··· ··· ··· ··· A low wind session on the salt lake yesterday. Spent as much time un-hooked as hooked in as the kite was taking a fair bit of work to keep moving. There was a few of us down there which led to a great chilled out Sunday session. Spent some time trying to keep up with Alfa75 on his board with the 15m Matrix and met tinman who is new to the lake.

··· ··· ··· ··· Strange morning in the buggy, started with no wind which increased to 30kph plus within half an hour. the vapor is hugely powerful for it's size and pretty scary. a stupid mistake when trying to untwist the lines lead to an OBE and an undignified landing. 14:: Spring Crusin'

··· ··· ··· ··· After a few months of very little buggying accept for a couple of trips to some local sports fields, over the last couple of weekends I have been able to get down onto the salt lake. The winds haven't been ideal but I have flown both the flow and vapor and of course got to use my new GoPro. No new PB's but have had some fun cruising! It's great to be back in the bug...

··· ··· ··· ··· Filmed at Lake Walyungup - using a Panasonic digital camera. The in buggy shots are done while flying the kite one handed and holding the camera with the other. In the static video the camera was sat on a couple of tires and in some shots the wind was moving the camera! The kites are a 5m Ozone Flow and a 3m Peter Lynn Core.
