The 23 story rocket carried the top secret NROL-65 payload into orbit for the National Reconnaissance Office. This was the 7th Delta IV heavy to launch and the 24th Delta IV overall.

··· ··· ··· ··· China's 5th manned space flight launched today, Shenzhou-10, on a Long March 2F rocket. Liftoff occurred at 09:38 UTC on June 11th 2013 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Shenzhou 10 will approach and dock with the Tiangong-1 Docking Target which launched in September 2011. They will be the last crew to dock with Tiangong-1 before it is de-orbited, Shenzhou-9 docked back in June 2012. The crew of Shenzhou 10 are commander Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and second Chinese female astronaut Wang Yaping, they are scheduled to stay in orbit just over two weeks.
