From Matthew Chapter 25 in the verses 1430 Jesus teaches the lesson (or parable) about how the master gave 3 of his servants talents (money, at that time) to take care of while he was away. 2 of the 3 servants increased what the master trusted them with but the 3rd servant did not. Instead the 3rd servant buried the talents and hid them in fear and mistrust. He wasted the gifts from the master and was punished while the the 2 good servants were rewarded and trusted with more.

Jesus explains all that has happened and shows them that his suffering and death and resurrection were all prophesied in the Bible many, many years in the past. The disciples were thrilled as scripture was made clear!
