Voila! The Spirit of Christmas is alive thanks to some naughty programmers at EA. ··· ··· ··· ··· I was reasonably sure I had found the recalled version of Tiger Woods 99 with the pre-Comedy Central short "The Spirit of Christmas" that launched South Park's cult popularity thanks to file trading in the 1990's, but to be sure I had to find an old computer that still had a CD drive. I never thought I'd have to say "finding a computer that can still use physical media" but that's the point we're at now. I would have played ZZDUMMY on that same computer but I couldn't find a version of VLC that worked on a 10 year old OS, so instead I copied and saved the file to a SD card and popped it into my modern (driveless) MacBook and opened it. Voila! The Spirit of Christmas is alive thanks to some naughty programmers at EA. For the obvious profanity reasons I won't play the whole thing - it's just nice to know that it works and that the urban legend is real. This version of Tiger Woods 99 has a South Park short called “The Spirit of Christmas” on it that was made before the show ever got picked up by Comedy Central. Due to how offended one parent was by its discovery all copies were supposedly recalled and destroyed, but obviously some still survived that were bought before the recall. You have to look for a matching bar code on the back of the case and serial number, because some stores will put ANY copy of Tiger Woods 99 in a case whether they match or not! #southpark #tigerwoods #playstation

This one also had a game inside it… but it was Wipeout. It was also jammed in there so hard that I had to physically disassemble the entire thing.
