I truly cannot believe it; Manor Lords IS HERE, and I have spent waayy too much time in the past weeks playing this game, so I could bring you the ultimate, in-depth and honest review of Manor Lords I possibly could. Having awaited this game since at least 2021, the hype has truly been real, but even bigger are the possible pitfalls a game like this might encounter if it doesn't live up to the hype. In this video, I go through everything that makes Manor Lords tick, while also considering that this is an early access game, and talk about everything awesome, its current flaws, potential shortcomings and what I wish to see in the future. I even give you an overview over how the game works, so in many ways, this is a Manor Lords tutorial, walkthrough, and review in one.
Seeing as Manor Lords has been compared to Total War a lot, I hope this video helps to clear up what this game actually is, how it plays, and what you can expect from it. Do also keep in mind that I have been playing a pre-release version, and some of the bugs or shortcomings I've talked about in this video, might be patched for release, or might currently be worked on.

Manor Lords city building gameplay is just crazy good, and in this video, I thought it was time to throw down the gauntlet for real, and show you my favorite creation thus far - the grand city of Nidaros in all its glory. One of my favorite things to do in Manor Lords is to build authentic-looking medieval European villages, towns and cities, because I feel like it gives me so much joy of life to see these creations come together. It all looks so real and beautiful already - so why waste it by making square-shaped grid cities?
But creating these behemoths, especially when you're surpassing 500 inhabitants is no easy feat, and that's why in this video, I'm not just showing off how beautiful Manor Lords can be, but also offering a little Manor Lords city builder tutorial, showing you the most important first steps, and telling you exactly what you need to look out for to create the Manor Lords city of your dreams.
We also take a third person walk around town, which is such an awesome feature! I hope you like seeing everything up close.

Warfare is a vital part of the Manor Lords package despite being the second most important part of the game. Manor Lords' battle systems have managed to capture the imagination of Total War and strategy players for some time, as even though we're looking at different scales and interpretations of battle, Manor Lords attempts to portray medieval battles in a realistic and simulation-like style. It is a massive part of why I find the game so appealing, and it's a good thing it's so much fun to play.
That's why in this video, I analyze the battles and warfare of Manor Lords, compare it to Total War, and show you why my first impressions of it are so positivem, and why I cannot get enough of these battles.

I'd love nothing more than for Total War and Creative Assembly to bounce back better than ever, but it will definitely require quite a lot, again, especially after the horrible showcase that was CA's 2023. Rome and Medieval 2 Total War have dominated the mobile strategy game scene for a long time, but can Age of Empires Mobile disrupt their hegemony? Well well well, you're not gonna catch me not theorizing about what might be next for the Total War series in the medium to long term! But even though Medieval 3 and Empire 2 are not currently on the docket - even though that would indeed be extremely sad - what about other games? Lord of the Rings Total War? Game of Thrones Total War? Or what about Feral Interactive and their games? Might they be cooking up something, and if not a Total War Medieval 2 Remastered, could it perhaps be a Total War: Empire for iOS and Android?

I truly cannot believe it; Manor Lords IS HERE, and I have spent waayy too much time in the past weeks playing this game, so I could bring you the ultimate, in-depth and honest review of Manor Lords I possibly could. Having awaited this game since at least 2021, the hype has truly been real, but even bigger are the possible pitfalls a game like this might encounter if it doesn't live up to the hype. In this video, I go through everything that makes Manor Lords tick, while also considering that this is an early access game, and talk about everything awesome, its current flaws, potential shortcomings and what I wish to see in the future. Manor Lords city building gameplay is just crazy good, and in this video, I thought it was time to throw down the gauntlet for real, and show you my favorite creation thus far - the grand city of Nidaros in all its glory. One of my favorite things to do in Manor Lords is to build authentic-looking medieval European villages, towns and cities, because I feel like it gives me so much joy of life to see these creations come together. It all looks so real and beautiful already - so why waste it by making square-shaped grid cities?
But creating these behemoths, especially when you're surpassing 500 inhabitants is no easy feat, and that's why in this video, I'm not just showing off how beautiful Manor Lords can be, but also offering a little Manor Lords city builder tutorial, showing you the most important first steps, and telling you exactly what you need to look out for to create the Manor Lords city of your dreams.

7:: Creative Assembly and Total War are in REAL Danger
01.01.1970 01:00:00 03.04.2024 14:00:01 What will happen to CA? Will they survive and thrive once more, or are we seeing the sunset of a company we'd never thought would go under? Given the news of the latest downsizing at CA, which follows the firings from late last year, it's fair to say that it has not been a good 6 months for the company. Despite this latest news however, SEGA assures us that Creative Assembly are still working on Total War projects and unannounced titles, meaning the company seems to be safe for now. Regardless, this type of news is never fun, and despite the Total War games being what might be the closest thing to our minds, we must not forget about how difficult this is for the devs at CA who have or currently experience difficult and uncertain times.
I'd love nothing more than for Total War and Creative Assembly to bounce back better than ever, but it will definitely require quite a lot, again, especially after the horrible showcase that was CA's 2023. Well well well, you're not gonna catch me not theorizing about what might be next for the Total War series in the medium to long term! But even though Medieval 3 and Empire 2 are not currently on the docket - even though that would indeed be extremely sad - what about other games? Lord of the Rings Total War? Game of Thrones Total War? Or what about Feral Interactive and their games? Might they be cooking up something, and if not a Total War Medieval 2 Remastered, could it perhaps be a Total War: Empire for iOS and Android?

01.01.1970 01:00:00 03.07.2023 14:00:41 Since Total War: Pharaoh's announcement, the game has received its fair share of criticism, much of it potentially valid, and some of it not so much. In this video, I go through the most common complaints I've come across thus far (even before the game releases), and try to address what I find to be either unfair or just wrong. That's not to say that Pharaoh is or is going to be a great game (although I certainly hope it will be), or that it will be, but from what we've seen from preview footage and the like, I just don't think there's enough here to completely wave away this game just yet. I myself am excited for a new Total War that sees its aim as returning to at least a modicum of its historical roots, but I can of course not provide my unfiltered opinions before the game releases.

With the announcement of Total War Pharaoh, a lot of people were wondering what was going to happen with other preferred titles. Pharaoh is likely to be lower on many people's list, even though I know Bronze Age lovers are rejoicing. Either way, despite this announcement, I am fairly confident Medieval 3 is going to happen either way, and actually not in the too distant future either. I believe Medieval 3 Total War is going to release in 2025, for reasons outlined in this video.

Company of Heroes is a legendary PC strategy gaming series, but it's never been on consoles until now! With a completely remade UI and controller support, Company of Heroes 3 works surprisingly well while playing on the big screen. While it can take some time to truly master, I had no issues learning the controls here, and found both the on-screen prompts and how it all worked intuitive and fun.

01.01.1970 01:00:00 02.06.2023 14:00:34 Total War Pharaoh just showed off its first gameplay reveal today, with a host of comments from Creative Assembly Sofia itself, the team behind the game. There is no question that Total War Pharaoh reminds us of A Total War Saga Troy, but to my great surprise, Pharaoh seems to attempt to go further, and create a hard core version that sounds very similar to the experience found in Total War: Attila. To me, a marriage between Troy and Attila sounds like one made in heaven - if promises can be delivered and the new mechanics are fun to use. From campaign mechanics to battlemap additions and reintroductions, Total War Pharaoh sounds exciting, but what was shown off here wasn't necessarily without its issues.

This is an absolutely astonishing piece of modding work, and does what no other mod before it has done - managing to combine Crusader Kings 3 campaigns, with Total War battles. Crusader Wars is only in a very early stage, but is still so much fun and just so darn impressive. The fact that this is even possible says how moddable Crusader Kings 3 and Total War Atilla really are, and I have to not only commend the modders for achieving this piece of art, but Creative Assembly and Paradox Development for opening up their games like this. Make sure to check the mod out on Steam!
