'William Ballard Doggett (February 16, 1916 – November 13, 1996) was an American pianist and organist. He began his career playing swing music before transitioning into rhythm and blues. Best known for his instrumental compositions "Honky Tonk" and "Hippy Dippy", Doggett was a pioneer of rock and roll. He worked with the Ink Spots, Johnny Otis, Wynonie Harris, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Jordan.
Doggett was born in Philadelphia. During the 1930s and early 1940s he worked for Lucky Millinder, Frank Fairfax and arranger Jimmy Mundy. In 1942 he was hired as the Ink Spots' pianist and arranger.
In 1951, Doggett organized his own trio and began recording for King Records. His best known recording is "Honky Tonk", a rhythm and blues hit of 1956, which sold four million copies (reaching No. 1 R&B and No. 2 Pop), and which he co-wrote with Billy Butler. The track topped the US Billboard R&B chart for over two months. He also arranged for many bandleaders and performers, including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lionel Hampton.
He continued to play and arrange until he died, aged 80...in New York City.'

Noro Morales has been a leading name in Latin dance music for over a quarter of a century. This latest LP finds the maestro and his band in fine fettle in danceable arrangements of famed Spanish and Latin American standards. The [sic] perform the title song and “La cucaracha” as merengues, “El Choclo” and “La Violetera” as cha chas, “White Orchids” as a bolerio, “Come Back to Sorrento” as a mambo cha cha, and “La Paloma” as a bolero cha cha. A tasty mixture for Latin dance fans.

About Noro Morales, from Wikipedia:
Norberto "Noro" Morales (January 4, 1911 – January 15, 1964) was a Puerto Rican pianist and bandleader....He released the tune "Serenata Ritmica" on Decca Records in 1942, which catapulted him to fame in the Latin music scene, then dominated by rhumba and later by mambo. His band rivaled Machito's in popularity in New York in the 1940s.
It was during this time that his orchestra played for the Havana Madrid nightclub. His lush 1952 Mambo with Noro 10" album is a landmark in conjunto Latin music, a classic mambo album that was part of the 1950s mambo craze, showing the influence of Puerto Rico in the new style.
In 1960 Morales returned to Puerto Rico and played locally; he also worked with Tito Rodríguez, José Luis Moneró, Chano Pozo, Willie Rosario and Tito Puente. Among the musicians who played in Morales' orchestra were Ray Santos, Jorge López, Rafí Carrero, Juancito Torres, Pin Madera, Ralph Kemp, Pepito Morales, Carlos Medina, Lidio Fuentes, Simón Madera, Ana Carrero, Pellin Rodriguez, and Avilés.
The height of his fame and record production was his production of rumba records with his sextet, done after he gave up the big band idea. His use of the piano as both melody and rhythm was highly innovative at the time. "Linda Mujer", "Campanitas de Cristal", "Perfume de Gardenias", "Me Pica La Lengua" and "Silencio", all songs composed by others, were four of his big successes in this line./media:description>

O. February 16, 1967, Topol burst on the
London theater scene, and it hasn’t been the
same since. Starring as Tevye in “Fiddler on the
Roof,” the tall, handsome, mustachioed native
of Tel Aviv, Israel, not only scored a personal
triumph in the musical, but became overnight
a British popular music institution.
His magnetic personality suddenly spread
into TV, motion pictures, and, of course, records.
This album is parto f Topol’s triumph. It includes
a cross-section of the kind of material
that he has mastered, plus his first smash hit,
“On And On.” The album ranges from the
twinkling laughter of “The Mouse and The
Elephant” to the poignant beauty of “Eli Eli,”
from the stirring feeling of “My Son Are You
Laughing Or Crying?” to the outright joy of
living in “Before Tomorrow Comes” and “The
Singing Lesson.”
It was “The Singing Lesson,” in fact, that
threw the BBC into a tumult. When Topol first
performed it on his BBC-TV series, “It’s Topol,”
it so charmed viewers that the switchboard was
jammed with callers requesting the music and
lyrics for hours after the show went off the air.
“Eli Eli,” perhaps Topol’s favorite in this
collection, was written by Chana Sennesh, a
very young Israeli girl who parachuted into
Hungary on a mission during World War Two.
She. never returned, but she left this lovely
prayer of hope and beauty which Topol shares

Topol, himself a fighter in the Israeli Army,
met his wife while they both were in the service.
He and Galia have two sons and a daughter.
Born in Tel Aviv to a Russian father and
Polish mother on Sept. 9, 1935, Topol grew up
in a theatrical tradition. In Haifa, he was
founder, art director and leading actor with the
city’s Municipal Theater. He played a great
range of roles, from Petruchio in “The Taming
of the Shrew,” to Jean in “Rhinocerus,” to Pat
in “The Hostage.”
His performance as the elderly rogue in
“Sallah” led to his successful London audition
for the role of Tevye in “Fiddler.”
His recent movie roles include “Before Winter
Comes” with David Niven, and “A Talent for
Loving” with Richard Widmark. In 1965, he
appeared on U.S. television in a spectacular with
Danny Kaye. Other films include his screen
debut, a 1960 comedy, “I Like Mike,” plus
“Sallah” and “Cast a Giant Shadow.”
But whatever his role, this tall, handsome,
fiery-voiced personality from Israel has attained
the kind of stardom that is granted to very few
in the show business world. The kind which enables
him to use but one name.
And that means he is unique.

About Bill Doggett, From Wikipedia:
'William Ballard Doggett (February 16, 1916 – November 13, 1996) was an American pianist and organist. He began his career playing swing music before transitioning into rhythm and blues. Best known for his instrumental compositions "Honky Tonk" and "Hippy Dippy", Doggett was a pioneer of rock and roll. He worked with the Ink Spots, Johnny Otis, Wynonie Harris, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Jordan.
Doggett was born in Philadelphia. During the 1930s and early 1940s he worked for Lucky Millinder, Frank Fairfax and arranger Jimmy Mundy. In 1942 he was hired as the Ink Spots' pianist and arranger.
In 1951, Doggett organized his own trio and began recording for King Records. His best known recording is "Honky Tonk", a rhythm and blues hit of 1956, which sold four million copies (reaching No. 1 R&B and No. 2 Pop), and which he co-wrote with Billy Butler. The track topped the US Billboard R&B chart for over two months. He also arranged for many bandleaders and performers, including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lionel Hampton.
He continued to play and arrange until he died, aged 80...in New York City.'

Adios Muchachos by Noro Morales and His Orchestra
Noro Morales has been a leading name in Latin dance music for over a quarter of a century. This latest LP finds the maestro and his band in fine fettle in danceable arrangements of famed Spanish and Latin American standards. The [sic] perform the title song and “La cucaracha” as merengues, “El Choclo” and “La Violetera” as cha chas, “White Orchids” as a bolerio, “Come Back to Sorrento” as a mambo cha cha, and “La Paloma” as a bolero cha cha. A tasty mixture for Latin dance fans.

About Noro Morales, from Wikipedia:
Norberto "Noro" Morales (January 4, 1911 – January 15, 1964) was a Puerto Rican pianist and bandleader....He released the tune "Serenata Ritmica" on Decca Records in 1942, which catapulted him to fame in the Latin music scene, then dominated by rhumba and later by mambo. His band rivaled Machito's in popularity in New York in the 1940s.
It was during this time that his orchestra played for the Havana Madrid nightclub. His lush 1952 Mambo with Noro 10" album is a landmark in conjunto Latin music, a classic mambo album that was part of the 1950s mambo craze, showing the influence of Puerto Rico in the new style.
In 1960 Morales returned to Puerto Rico and played locally; he also worked with Tito Rodríguez, José Luis Moneró, Chano Pozo, Willie Rosario and Tito Puente. Among the musicians who played in Morales' orchestra were Ray Santos, Jorge López, Rafí Carrero, Juancito Torres, Pin Madera, Ralph Kemp, Pepito Morales, Carlos Medina, Lidio Fuentes, Simón Madera, Ana Carrero, Pellin Rodriguez, and Avilés.
The height of his fame and record production was his production of rumba records with his sextet, done after he gave up the big band idea. His use of the piano as both melody and rhythm was highly innovative at the time. "Linda Mujer", "Campanitas de Cristal", "Perfume de Gardenias", "Me Pica La Lengua" and "Silencio", all songs composed by others, were four of his big successes in this line.

O. February 16, 1967, Topol burst on the
London theater scene, and it hasn’t been the
same since. Starring as Tevye in “Fiddler on the
Roof,” the tall, handsome, mustachioed native
of Tel Aviv, Israel, not only scored a personal
triumph in the musical, but became overnight
a British popular music institution.
His magnetic personality suddenly spread
into TV, motion pictures, and, of course, records.
This album is parto f Topol’s triumph. It includes
a cross-section of the kind of material
that he has mastered, plus his first smash hit,
“On And On.” The album ranges from the
twinkling laughter of “The Mouse and The
Elephant” to the poignant beauty of “Eli Eli,”
from the stirring feeling of “My Son Are You
Laughing Or Crying?” to the outright joy of
living in “Before Tomorrow Comes” and “The
Singing Lesson.”
It was “The Singing Lesson,” in fact, that
threw the BBC into a tumult. When Topol first
performed it on his BBC-TV series, “It’s Topol,”
it so charmed viewers that the switchboard was
jammed with callers requesting the music and
lyrics for hours after the show went off the air.
“Eli Eli,” perhaps Topol’s favorite in this
collection, was written by Chana Sennesh, a
very young Israeli girl who parachuted into
Hungary on a mission during World War Two.

prayer of hope and beauty which Topol shares

Topol, himself a fighter in the Israeli Army,
met his wife while they both were in the service.
He and Galia have two sons and a daughter.
Born in Tel Aviv to a Russian father and
Polish mother on Sept. 9, 1935, Topol grew up
in a theatrical tradition. In Haifa, he was
founder, art director and leading actor with the
city’s Municipal Theater. He played a great
range of roles, from Petruchio in “The Taming
of the Shrew,” to Jean in “Rhinocerus,” to Pat
in “The Hostage.”
His performance as the elderly rogue in
“Sallah” led to his successful London audition
for the role of Tevye in “Fiddler.”
His recent movie roles include “Before Winter
Comes” with David Niven, and “A Talent for
Loving” with Richard Widmark. In 1965, he
appeared on U.S. television in a spectacular with
Danny Kaye. Other films include his screen
debut, a 1960 comedy, “I Like Mike,” plus
“Sallah” and “Cast a Giant Shadow.”
But whatever his role, this tall, handsome,
fiery-voiced personality from Israel has attained
the kind of stardom that is granted to very few
in the show business world. The kind which enables
him to use but one name.
And that means he is unique.
