media:description>Yannick Schultze was born in Germany in 1985, he developed a deep admiration for Japanese martial arts during his teenage years. In 2005, he began formal training in German Jujutsu, and two years later, in 2007, he started practicing Matayoshi KobudÅ. His passion for traditional martial arts led him to visit Okinawa in 2008 to further explore karate and kobudÅ. In 2022, he expanded his training by taking up TÅâon-ryÅ«. Guided by his Jujutsu master, who encouraged him to study both the techniques and history of martial arts, he has made it a mission to deepen his knowledge. On each visit to Japan, he visits libraries and archives across the country, collecting historical materials and conducting extensive research on the history of Japanese martial arts.
