This is a narrative about an elite sniper who is in a compromised position and must choose between two hard choices, stay and provide overwatch for his unit or bug out and save himself. In these final moments he sees only one memory, the mission that got him into this elite unit.
Disclaimer:
This is the thesis project for my digital cinematography degree. This project had to stay within the policy and guidelines concerning excessive violence on screen dictated by the university. Therefore, I chose the dramatic versus action format for this film. All the violence depicted in this film is by implication only.
Credit Note:
All of the music, SFX and VFX were created by us or obtained through royalty free/Creative Commons licensing either by free download or purchased. Most of the SFX were retrieved from the Apple Loops library via Soundtrack Pro. The entire film was edited in Final Cut Pro 7. The VFX clips were created in After Effects CS6. Red Giant's Magic Bullet Suite (Colorista II and Looks) for Final Cut Pro was used for color correction and grading.
The film was shot on location in both Parker and Boulder County, Colorado, in July 2013 and edited in August 2013. This film was shot on the Sony FS100UK HD camera with Sony and Nikon lenses in the 1080/24p FX mode at 24 fps (except for the timelapse shots which were recorded at 1 fps)./media:description>

2:: "SUBWAY HEIST" | Animated "Bullet-time" Short Film | Unreal Engine
01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 15.03.2024 · 04:26:10 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· Created in Unreal engine, this micro-short film explores the "Freeze-frame/bullet-time" effect, where the camera moves through a split second as time stands still, yet the audience moves through the scene to explore all the microcosms and details in the environment. This was originally created for a film contest submission where the rules stated that no subjects in the film could be animated or moving, yet still needed to tell a compelling story. It won 1st place! :)
Created in Unreal 5 engine.

This was directed, produced, and edited by our very own Quddus Ajimine for his Senior thesis project over 10 years ago! Description below from Q:
"Life is about choices. In spec ops, it's choices that define you."
This is a narrative about an elite sniper who is in a compromised position and must choose between two hard choices, stay and provide overwatch for his unit or bug out and save himself. In these final moments he sees only one memory, the mission that got him into this elite unit.
Disclaimer:
This is the thesis project for my digital cinematography degree. This project had to stay within the policy and guidelines concerning excessive violence on screen dictated by the university. Therefore, I chose the dramatic versus action format for this film. All the violence depicted in this film is by implication only.
Credit Note:
All of the music, SFX and VFX were created by us or obtained through royalty free/Creative Commons licensing either by free download or purchased. Most of the SFX were retrieved from the Apple Loops library via Soundtrack Pro. The entire film was edited in Final Cut Pro 7. The VFX clips were created in After Effects CS6. Red Giant's Magic Bullet Suite (Colorista II and Looks) for Final Cut Pro was used for color correction and grading.
The film was shot on location in both Parker and Boulder County, Colorado, in July 2013 and edited in August 2013. This film was shot on the Sony FS100UK HD camera with Sony and Nikon lenses in the 1080/24p FX mode at 24 fps (except for the timelapse shots which were recorded at 1 fps).

Legend has it that this stretch of the river has a disturbing history of cult activity with ominous tales of murder and torcher, and the locals insist that the river is haunted by the spirits of the victims.

His long history of Military Service has taught him to never trust the government, pushing him to live out his days in the country, off of the grid. Other than his religious viewership of his favorite cable news network, his only other connection to the outside world is through his good buddy, "Squinty Joe," who he only keeps in contact through HAM Radio. The two of them engage daily about the latest wild conspiracy theories, further exacerbating and shaping their views on the world. The two are constantly trying to one-up each other, bragging about who has the latest gear or best doomsday prep. In their minds, the apocalypse is right around the corner so it only makes sense to have a solid plan. In this Sci-fi Dramedy short film, we follow a day in the life of Rick as his intense paranoia becomes a reality during one of the strangest days of his life!

This was modified significantly, removing the eyewear, face shield, and headset mic. 36:: Operation Jericho - Military Action Short
01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 14.02.2016 · 06:54:28 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· Russian Separatist rebels have seized control of the Inguri Dam, located in the Caucasus mountains. This radical group has converted the hydropower plant to a chemical weapons facility, concealed at the bottom of the reservoir.
A small team of U.S. special forces is tasked with the mission to infiltrate and destroy the dam. However, they need to remain undetected, making this event look like a catastrophic accident. Word cannot spread that U.S. boots are on the ground in this region because of the potential repercussions of an international incident.
[This is Chapter 1 of the "Red" Series]
