Did you know that can actually be a good thing—God calling you to a greater spiritual maturity? Oftentimes when we are new or growing in the spiritual life, God allows us to experience His consolations—a feeling of overwhelming love or our hearts being on fire for the Gospel. However, in order to grow in prayer and get closer to the Heart of Jesus, we must lose these "training wheels," so-to-speak, because God desires us to love Him as our creator and redeemer, not because we get good feelings. Fr. Michelangelo shares today several strategies for overcoming dryness in prayer and taking your prayer life to the next level! ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents 6708879080/media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="523" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="3355"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:M5_6qRLJMJo/id> yt:videoId>M5_6qRLJMJo/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/yt:channelId> title>"What's the Secret to Staying Happily Married?" #shorts/title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5_6qRLJMJo"/> author> name>Ascension Presents/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/uri> /author> published>2024-06-20T16:42:06+00:00/published> updated>2024-06-21T19:21:49+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>"What's the Secret to Staying Happily Married?" #shorts/media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/M5_6qRLJMJo?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i2.ytimg.com/vi/M5_6qRLJMJo/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>We've got a "Marriage Pop-Quiz" for you! Developing good relationships—whether friendships or romantic ones—and deepening them in a fragile world can be challenging. We can be tempted to leave a relationship or dissolve a friendship when things become difficult or when we're hurt by the other person. It can be challenging to work on deepening these relationships when others have said hurtful or difficult things—but that doesn't mean we should throw in the towel. Today, Fr. Mark-Mary challenges us to go beyond surface-level friendships and work on deepening our relationships—even though they can be fragile and hard to maintain. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents #FragileRelationships 6721798526/media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="1588" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="16678"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:r_gzOUAu7V4/id> yt:videoId>r_gzOUAu7V4/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/yt:channelId> title>How to Offer It Up/title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_gzOUAu7V4"/> author> name>Ascension Presents/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/uri> /author> published>2024-06-12T19:30:08+00:00/published> updated>2024-06-13T15:36:13+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>How to Offer It Up/media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/r_gzOUAu7V4?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i3.ytimg.com/vi/r_gzOUAu7V4/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>Momma always said, "Son, you don't like something? You feel convicted that you should have a devotion to the saints, but there are just so many to choose from. Are you unsure of where to begin? Today, Br. Lawrence discusses with Fr. Mark-Mary what devotion to the Saints looks like for a faithful Catholic and how to identify ways to deepen your devotion to particular ones. And what about those who have never had an opportunity in our day and age to hear the name of Jesus and accept faith? "Where do they go when they die?" Today, Fr. There's a trope that Catholics just walk around feeling more guilty than other people, and the phrase can get thrown around in a pejorative way. But, is it true? Do Catholics feel more guilty? Are they, in fact, more guilty? Is this guilt "bad"? Is there such a thing as "good" guilt? Br. Lawrence, CFR tackles this question with Fr. Mark-Mary and gives us a framework for contrition that will bring us close to a loving God who is always ready to extend forgiveness to us when we rebel against him in sin. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents 6473797438/media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="965" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="11589"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:rArQp5Lll5Y/id> yt:videoId>rArQp5Lll5Y/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/yt:channelId> title>Where is the Holy Spirit in the Bible? Come Holy Spirit! As Catholics, we acknowledge that God is a trinity of persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but who exactly is the third person of the Trinity? We might wonder where the Holy Spirit even appears as we read Sacred Scripture. Today, Fr. Dempsey opens up the Scriptures for us, exploring where the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the Bible. Fr. Dempsey Acosta is an adjunct professor of Biblical Theology and holds the Miller Endowed Chair of Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. After earning degrees in Philosophy and Education from the Universidad Católica Cecilio Acosta en Maracaibo, Venezuela, he obtained a Bachelor of Theology (S.T.B.) from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, a degree in Biblical Sciences and Biblical Languages (S.S.L.) from the Pontifical Biblicum Institute in Rome, and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology: Biblical Studies (S.T.D.) from the Pontifical Gregorian University. Since 2008, Fr. Dempsey has been a peritus (theological advisor) and consultant of the American Bible Society in the Presidential Liaison and Roman Catholic Ministry Department. He has also served as an expert consultant for Biblical translations with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Ascension was blessed to collaborate with Fr. Dempsey on the year-long podcast La Biblia en un Año (con Fray Sergio Serrano, OP (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8vi7lD4jnvUqVBSlCEg9kg). ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸Ascension Media: https://tinyurl.com/yxkhqq3u 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents 5609156446/media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="742" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="11823"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:L88YKuiHwF0/id> yt:videoId>L88YKuiHwF0/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/yt:channelId> title>Hope in the Face of Grief and Loss (feat. We may experience deep suffering, like wanting to be married but not finding a spouse. Or losing a spouse to an early death. Maybe you've experienced the loss of a child, a miscarriage, or the struggle with infertility. It can feel frustrating when others respond, "Well, God has a plan." Indeed, he does have a plan, but where does this suffering fit into that plan? Today, Kendra Tierney, a mother of 10 and a recent widow, shares her own honest experience of navigating loss and grieving the life that she now doesn't have after the loss of her husband. Kendra is a "mother of many" living outside Los Angeles, CA. She started Catholic All Year to share the practice of celebrating the liturgical year in the home and getting to know the saints and seasons of the Church calendar through food, prayer, and conversation. If you’d like her guide to liturgical living, it’s available in book form in The Catholic All Year Compendium: Liturgical Living for Real Life and The Catholic All Year Prayer Companion: The Liturgical Year in Practice, both of which you can find at https://www.CatholicAllYear.com ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸Ascension Media: https://tinyurl.com/yxkhqq3u 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents #grief 5609026235/media:description> media:community> media:starRating count="2404" average="5.00" min="1" max="5"/> media:statistics views="29477"/> /media:community> /media:group> /entry> entry> id>yt:video:jl-N8Eji8Q0/id> yt:videoId>jl-N8Eji8Q0/yt:videoId> yt:channelId>UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/yt:channelId> title>A Theology of Your Body/title> link rel="alternate" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl-N8Eji8Q0"/> author> name>Ascension Presents/name> uri>https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVdGX3N-WIJ5nUvklBTNhAw/uri> /author> published>2024-05-15T21:10:42+00:00/published> updated>2024-05-17T11:00:37+00:00/updated> media:group> media:title>A Theology of Your Body/media:title> media:content url="https://www.youtube.com/v/jl-N8Eji8Q0?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390"/> media:thumbnail url="https://i3.ytimg.com/vi/jl-N8Eji8Q0/hqdefault.jpg" width="480" height="360"/> media:description>Pope John Paul II said that what modern man needs—and is missing—is an "adequate anthropology", or, a full understanding of what it looks like to be human. 1:: How to Overcome Dryness in Prayer (feat. Fr. Michelangelo)

··· ··· ··· ··· Have you ever felt like God isn't listening to your prayers? ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents 6708879080

··· ··· ··· ··· Navigating healthy relationships can be so difficult. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents #FragileRelationships 6721798526

··· ··· ··· ··· If you're truly open-minded, you can find some truth in most religions. You can find plenty of goodness and beauty as well. But where is the whole truth of God—the "fullness of truth"? Fr. 10:: Who Are the Saints, and How Do We Pray With Them? (feat. Br. Lawrence)

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 27.05.2024 · 19:30:01 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Are you struggling to figure out which saint you should pray to? You feel convicted that you should have a devotion to the saints, but there are just so many to choose from. Are you unsure of where to begin? Today, Br. Lawrence discusses with Fr. Mark-Mary what devotion to the Saints looks like for a faithful Catholic and how to identify ways to deepen your devotion to particular ones. Together, they explore intercession, communion, and imitation as fundamental elements in establishing profound relationships with saints who can offer guidance and encouragement from these "spiritual role models." 01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 22.05.2024 · 20:46:34 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· When considering the people of the Old Testament before Jesus's coming, we might ask ourselves: "Are those without the knowledge of Jesus destined for eternal damnation?" And what about those who have never had an opportunity in our day and age to hear the name of Jesus and accept faith? "Where do they go when they die?" Today, Fr. 12:: Catholic Guilt (feat. Br. Lawrence)

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 20.05.2024 · 20:07:25 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· "Catholic Guilt" is a familiar concept in our culture—whether you're Catholic or not. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents 6473797438

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 17.05.2024 · 17:20:09 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Happy feast of Pentecost! 14:: Hope in the Face of Grief and Loss (feat. Kendra Tierney)

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 16.05.2024 · 20:52:38 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Grief and loss are a part of nearly everyone's life. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary . . . And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us. Hail Mary . . . Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. 17:: Theology of the Body Crash Course w/ Fr. Mike Schmitz — Session One: From the Beginning

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 10.05.2024 · 18:00:27 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· This video is one installment of a 4-part series on the Theology of the Body presented by Fr. Mike. For free access to the entire series, please visit https://www.ascensionpress.com/tobtalk/ If the deepest secret of God is that God is love, and he made you in his image and likeness, then what's the deepest secret about you? You are made for love. What does it mean to be human? What was God’s original plan for humanity? For relationships? For marriage? For sex? Why is the body important? In these four lessons, Fr. Mike leans into the teachings of St. John Paul II and Christopher West, unpacking the mysteries of the human heart, the human body, and relationships. In this first lesson, we learn about the origins of the Theology of the Body, what it means, and why what we do with our bodies matters. We are taken back to the beginning in Genesis Chapters 1-3, the creation of Adam and Eve. Despite their differences as male and female, we discover how they were equal in terms of dignity yet complementary in their differences. This series is brought to you for free by Fr. Mike's local ministry, bulldogCatholic. This series is worth more than $80, but bulldogCatholic is providing it free of cost to you. Please donate to support their mission! https://bulldogcatholic.org/seeds-of-faith/ If this information is as fascinating to you as it is to us, you can dive deeper with Christopher West and the @TheologyoftheBodyInstitute — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents — BULLDOG CATHOLIC — 🔸YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXzB400_Skw95z2TmAsSkIg 🔸iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/umd-newman-catholic-campus-ministry/id273537688 #theologyofthebody

··· ··· ··· ··· Have you been confirmed? Have you received the Sacrament of Confirmation yet? Does this mean you're a "grown-up" Catholic now—that you've graduated? Not quite. There's so much more to it than that. Today, Fr. Mike breaks down the 5 effects that flow from receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. — The Catechism of the Catholic Church states in paragraph 1303: "From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace: - it roots us more deeply in the divine filiation, which makes us cry, "Abba! Father!"; - it unites us more firmly to Christ; - it increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us; - it renders our bond with the Church more perfect; - it gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension App: https://link.ascension-app.com/lMuyddWAqHb 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: @AscensionPresents — BULLDOG CATHOLIC — 🔸YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXzB400_Skw95z2TmAsSkIg 🔸iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/umd-newman-catholic-campus-ministry/id273537688 #confirmation #sacraments 6366230879

But we are born with a wound that only our creator can heal. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension’s main website: https://tinyurl.com/y29dkmow 🔸Ascension Media: https://tinyurl.com/yxkhqq3u 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6lfxzyt 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/25nskztb — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/catholicfaithformation/ 🔸Subscribe: @ascensionpresents — BULLDOG CATHOLIC — 🔸YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXzB400_Skw95z2TmAsSkIg 🔸iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/umd-newman-catholic-campus-ministry/id273537688 5834511925

36:: The Raw Reality of Your Favorite Bible Heroes

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 03.01.2024 · 20:30:00 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Some of your favorite Bible characters were... terrible sometimes. Abraham lied and said Sarah wasn't his wife. Jacob tricked his father into giving him the birthright instead of his brother. And there are plenty of stories that aren't even appropriate enough to make it into a YouTube description. But what is the Bible? A collection of inspiring fables? Or the real story of humanity and God? For Fr. Mike, this is good news (and it should be for you too). Our favorite saints were just like us. 01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 31.07.2023 · 21:09:21 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· I'm sure we've all heard a parent, teacher or friend tell us, "You know your actions have consequences." But what does that mean when considering our life of faith? Today Fr. Mark-Mary explains how this common phrase can be understood in the positive sense, that all of our "yeses" are a cooperation in Christ's work of salvation. God wants each and every one of us to share in his plan of saving the world. So, if you've ever left the confessional still feeling bad, you might wonder... "What gives?" Today, Fr. Mike identifies 3 reasons why we might be experiencing a lingering feeling of guilt after confession, and he gives us a bit of advice to deal with those feelings. 1. "I'm forgiven, but I still have to deal with the consequences." 2. "Someone else knows what I did." 3. "I've broken God's heart." Finally, Fr. Mike reveals the source of these lingering regrets. Jesus has accomplished the Father's will in offering Himself on the Cross. He has further sent the Holy Spirit for the salvation of the world. 01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 02.06.2023 · 19:43:15 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· If you haven't heard about the developing story regarding the LA Dodgers and the so-called "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence", a quick (but cautious) online search will catch you up to speed. Fr. Mark-Mary isn't going to spend too much time going into the disturbing details here. But, today, Fr. 01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 01.06.2023 · 19:19:39 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Why do first communicants look like little brides and grooms coming down the aisle on the day of their first holy communion? The reason will transform the way you look at the eucharist, holy communion, and your relationship with God. Today, Jackie and Bobby leverage their formation in Pope St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body to explain why your first holy communion was a sort of wedding. Jackie and Bobby both helped us with our new first communion preparation program, Received: Your Journey to First Communion (https://ascensionpress.com/collections/renewed-and-received) Received: Your Journey to First Communion is a twelve-lesson program that provides everything you need to prepare children to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. It features gorgeous live-action videos with stunning animations that help communicate the spiritual dimension of the Faith to children in a way they can easily understand. ··· ··· ··· ··· How much prayer is too much prayer? Our relationship with God is the most important relationship we will ever have. Mike tells us what it means to "pray without ceasing"... and what it doesn't mean. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension’s main website: https://tinyurl.com/2ryzqvde 🔸Ascension Media: https://tinyurl.com/2lgq88hm 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/2kmbrqnl 🔸 Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition: https://tinyurl.com/2ceoaxrf — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/catholicfaithformation/ 🔸Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/ascensionpresents — BULLDOG CATHOLIC — 🔸YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXzB400_Skw95z2TmAsSkIg 🔸iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/umd-newman-catholic-campus-ministry/id273537688
